We are a boutique style dental studio producing world-class results that will enable you to take your practice to a whole new level. Pacific Dental Arts Studio is the in-house laboratory for Pacific Dental Institute (PDI), a multifaceted educational/research facility specializing in high-end prosthodontics. Our lab prides itself in performing at a superior level of artistry in all work we produce while achieving the highest standards in dental form, occlusion and function.
The technicians at Pacific Dental Arts Studio have performed all of the labwork for the numerous clinical trials being conducted at PDI. These clinical studies include a 5-year study on 3M Espe's Lava 3- and 4-unit posterior bridges and UniCem cement, a 3-year study on Ivoclar Vivadent's e.max ZirCAD zirconia 3-unit posterior bridges, and Ivoclar Vivadent's e.max CAD posterior crowns. At PDI's Applied Materials Testing Laboratory our technicians have performed extensive research evaluating the thermal compatibility and multiple firing tests of e.max Ceram veneering porcelain, Empress Esthetic pressed ceramic - veneering ceramic ratios, and thermal compatibility of veneering porcelains with zirconia implant abutments.
In addition to supporting the educational and research activities of PDI, our lab is responsible for all of Dr. Sorensen's prosthodontic specialty work for his private practice and the cases he presents during his lectures worldwide. You have probably seen much of our lab work at his lectures.
Pacific Dental Arts Studio will provide lab work for a small group of select dental professionals. Our goal is the same as yours- to achieve exceptional esthetic results with optimal fit and function. We put a strong emphasis on a team approach, taking our lead from you the dental professional. We can help with all aspects of your patient treatment from treatment planning and diagnostic waxups to fabrication of provisional restorations to fabrication of the definitive prostheses. Our laboratory can fabricate a wide variety of prostheses including a single anterior tooth crown or implant crown, extensive veneer esthetic cases, full mouth rehabilitation, CAD/CAM zirconia implant abutments, screw-retained implant crowns or bridges, and CAD/CAM Ti hybrid frameworks or tissue bars.
