Does your group want PDI to put together a customized curriculum together for your study club?  We can tailor a program to meet your group's needs for a specific curriculum; lecture, hands-on or patient treatment course; evening, Thursday, Friday, weekend or a whole week schedule; and most areas of dentistry.

Dr. Sorensen and his colleagues offer private training for individuals or small groups. Doctors or dental technicians can arrange to observe Dr. Sorensen treating patients in his private practice working with his in-house master dental technicians.  Implants surgeon training can also be arranged.

If you are licensed in Oregon, Dr. Sorensen can provide private one-on-one clinical training for your patient treatment as well.

Similarly, PDI offers specialized programs for dental technicians. Technicians can arrange for varying lengths of their personalized educational programs from one week to one year.

Dr. Sorensen has consulted and worked with leading dental material manufacturers for over 20 years. He has conducted materials testing on adhesive systems, cements, direct composite systems, ceramic substructure systems, thermal compatibility testing of numerous ceramic systems, power toothbrush wear, and co-invented implant abutment systems. Sorensen has lead multiple clinical trials on all-ceramic systems and implant abutment systems, aided in assembling pre-510K FDA approval packaging, and advised on how to take ceramic systems to the dental marketplace.  As a world renowned authority and continuing education speaker on dental ceramics and implant prosthoodontics, Dr. Sorensen is uniquley qualified to provide training for dental manufacturer staff ranging from highly technical, scientific team members to educating sales representatives with backgound information on dental material and their clinical useage.  With 15 Kavo Masterspace lab benches equipped with electric handpieces and typodonts as well as a full dental lab, the PDI Education Center can meet a broad range of educational needs.

Professor Sorensen has for years provided one week educational programs for dentists from Europe and Asia.  Now at PDI Dr. Sorensen's team can provide a rich educational and cultural experience for dentists from around the globe.  A completely customized one week program with a combination of lectures, seminars, hands-on, and live-patient treatment demonstrations are available. 

To add some fun and memories of the particpants' trip, PDI is happy to arrange for a truly Northwest experience with activities such as golfing, sight-seeing in the Columbia Gorge or at Oregon beaches, white water river rafting, fishing, snow skiing at nearby Mt. Hood, tasting at some of Portland's myriad of microbreweries or visit Oregon's famous Pinot wine country just 30 minutes away from PDI.

Periodontist and Oral Surgeons - PDI can tailor special programs for you referral general dentists.  PDI can train general practioners to improve their site assessment, treatment planning skills and surgical guide fabrication. We can help improve their clinical techniques, especially in the area of cemented implant restorations which frequently cause peri-implantitis from remaining polymerized cement.
